Compliance Audits of Licensed Premises

Qualified staff will attend your premises and conduct an audit to establish legislative compliance, training needs and ensure responsible practices are being maintained.  The results of the inspection are confidentially referred back to management along with a comprehensive list of recommendations. To address our client needs, BARS Training Australia offers three levels of compliance inspections for licensed premises:

Spot Inspections – starting at $132* (incl. GST)

  • Initial consultation with client (if applicable)

  • Inspected during the hours of trade as specified by the client

  • Compliance audit focusing on the Liquor Act 1992, Liquor Regulations 2002, Security Providers Act 1993 and Security Providers Regulations 1994

  • General compliance audit of Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998, Fire and Rescue Regulations 1991, Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 and Health and Hygiene Regulations.

  • Overview of current procedures developed to enhance harm minimisation on the licensed premises

  • Minimum of 1 hour inspection on premises (not including time taken for feedback)

  • Discussion on findings and recommended remedial action to person in charge of licensed premises on the night

Maintenance Audit – starting at $660* (incl. GST)

  • Conducted quarterly (or as specified by client)

  • Inspected during the hours of trade as specified by the client

  • Compliance audit focusing on the Liquor Act 1992, Liquor Regulations 2002, Security Providers Act 1993 and Security Providers Regulations 1994

  • General compliance audit of Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998, Fire and Rescue Regulations 1991, Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 and Health and Hygiene Regulations (where applicable)

  • Overview of current procedures developed to enhance harm minimisation on the licensed premises. 

  • Minimum of 2 hours inspection on premises

  • Discussion on findings and recommended remedial action to person in charge of licensed premises on the night

  • Full written audit report furnished to the client, outlining areas that require attention, including relevant colour photographs taken during the inspection

  • Consultation meeting with client to present the report and discuss the findings

Full Premises Audit – starting at $1650* (incl. GST)

  • Initial consultation with client (if applicable)

  • Inspected by 2 qualified staff during the hours of trade as specified by the client (minimum of 2 hours)

  • Inspection conducted with additional consultant that specialises in fire and rescue requirements.

  • Compliance audit focusing on the Liquor Act 1992, Liquor Regulations 2002, Security Providers Act 1993, Security Providers Regulations 1994 and Fire and Rescue Regulations 1991

  • General compliance of audit Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998 , Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 and Health and Hygiene Regulations (where applicable)

  • Overview of current procedures developed to enhance harm minimisation on the licensed premises.  This including current promotions, responsible practices and a training needs analysis of staff.

  • Discussion on findings and recommended remedial action to person in charge of licensed premises.

  • Full written audit report furnished to the client, outlining areas that require attention, including relevant colour photographs taken during the inspection

  • Consultation meeting with client to present the report and discuss the findings
