Mr. Simon Joyce is
the National Security Advisor for
BARS Training Australia bringing a
wealth of experience to his role.
Simon has spent
the last 13 years in the security
industry working as a static guard,
surveillance officer, a crowd
controller, bodyguard and armed
guard conducting cash in transit
duties.
Simon has
provided personal protection
services for several celebrities
including Roger Sanchez, Marcia
Hines, “Aussie” Joe Bugner, Ian
“Molly” Meldrum, Rue Da Silva and
providing security advice for
several groups such as Liberty X,
The Screaming Jets and various “Miss
Indy” winners and dance troupes.
Simon has been the head
of security at dozens of venues and has
been the operations manager for a major
security company who supplied guards for
23 venues across the Gold Coast and
Brisbane where he was responsible for
rostering, meetings, staff training and
handling customer issues such as
complaints and special event requests.
After facilitating
the Certificate II in Security
Operations course for TAFE Queensland
since 2006, Simon has now joined the
ranks of BARS Training Australia and has
since enhanced his ability to
interpret acts and regulations, as well
as the expertise to encompass auditing
workplaces, incident management,
conducting operational risk assessments
and emergency management procedures.
