Under the industry wide Code of Conduct for responsible gambling, management has obligations to ensure that staff are trained in responsible gaming procedures and protocols.  All courses facilitated by BARS Training Australia are conducted by a qualified trainer with successful participants receiving a Statement of Attainment issued by Club Training Australia (National Provider 5752) for the following unit of competency:

THHADG03B Provide Responsible Gambling Services

The session covers the following areas:

1. The context of responsible gambling

2. Understanding the Gaming Act and its regulations

3. Venue and staff responsibilities

4. How to deal with staff problem gamblers

5. Procedures to be followed in dealing with problem gamblers

Available now, new format including the update provisions for section 261 – “Self Exclusion Provisions” and “Venue Initiated Exclusions” plus the latest information regarding Active Management processes and venue reporting in relation to the Responsible Conduct of Gambling. 
 

Schedule of Training

The scheduled fee will be paid in full on enrolment and prior to the commencement of the training program.  All fees paid will be issued with an acknowledgement receipt/tax invoice as proof of receipt of monies paid.  All training will be conducted on premises nominated and supplied by the client or as arranged by BARS Training Australia.  The cost of this 4 hour session includes the cost of all handouts and accreditation.
 

Schedule of Fees

OPTION 1

$600 facilitation fee + $15 per participant for cost of all handouts and accreditation (for 20 participants the total cost would be $600 + (20 x $15) = $900 or $45 per participant).

Note: Without prior arrangement the facilitation fee is to be paid no less than 7 days prior to course commencement, with the remaining payment due prior to course completion with the maximum of 20 participants per course.

OPTION 2

$65 per participant (all inclusive)

Note: The fee is to be paid prior to course completion with the maximum of 20 participants per course.

Pre-requisites

All participants should also have basic language, literacy and numeracy skills and are required to identify if they require language, literacy and numeracy support prior to enrolment.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the acknowledgment of skills and knowledge held by an individual as a result of formal training, work experience and /or life experience. If you believe that you already possess some or all of the learning outcomes contained in this course and you can demonstrate current competency, then you can apply for RPL.  To register for RPL you simply contact the Club Training Australia on (07) 3878 8977 during office hours.

Enrolments

Enrolment occurs through online registration and/or personal enrolment on the day of training with the payment of course fees.  Your details are captured and stored securely, with the results of your training being linked to this enrolment information.

Refunds

All requests for refunds are to be made in writing on a Refund Request this form that needs to be accompanied by supporting documentation where applicable. This form can be obtained by contacting the BARS Training Australia on 0414 527 800 during office hours.

NOTE

Participants are responsible for reading all relevant materials provided on the website including the Club Training Australia Student Handbook and the information about courses prior to enrolment. Once participants have entered their details it will be accepted by all parties that they have read the Student Handbook and agree with all the Terms and Conditions prior to commencing their training.
